AQHA 5694794 SORREL Rubicano (red roan) GELDING 3/28/2015 14.2

A fancy, colorful, gentle honest horse is worth his weight in gold  Proven bloodlines!  By Little Cat Olena, son of High Brow Cat NCHA Open Futurity Finalist $55,000.

Colorful, stout and well built, confident, cowy, smart gelding, a unicorn and warhorse,
Rusty loves to ride out, rope, do ranch work, pack kids, amble along the trails. This guy has a puppy dog personality and is a total sweetheart, always willing to please. One for the whole family. Nicely broke with smooth transitions, walk, trot & lope. He is a very smooth mover. He knows his leads, moves off of leg pressure, and has an overall nice handle.

Anyone can ride this horse... you can even ride with a bad back, bridleless in at the arena or around the neighborhood. He is easy to catch, shoe, bathe, load, and haul. Great ground manners.

Rusty was bought as a yearling by Tripp Townsend (reined cow horse, team roper, versatility at Sandhill Cattle Co), went to do real working ranch/feedlot stuff, hauled kids around, 6 months with Tim Roberts (ranch sorter/team penner. - video is of him packing a beginner) as well as some time with Tim Horn (cutter)

Finished heel horse, he will not get worked up in the box and gives you the same start every time. Also has roped the sled.  He has been used on the ranch and feed yard: working cows (gathering, sorting and branding), ponying colts, has heeled, drug calves, doctored yearlings. Trained on the flag. Started the barrel pattern and has gone to several gymkhanas with kids. Has been hauled to jackpots an rodeos. Pull him out of the trailer and get to work. He can compete at a high level one day and can give lessons to a beginner the next. Eats and drinks good on the road.

Rusty has been used to pack adult and kids alike into the mountains on hunting trips. He is good outside and extremely safe and sound on the trails, go with others or go alone, he’s the same quiet ride, pass hikers, mountain bikers or other horses… nothing bothers him. Has been exposed to a wide range of terrains; he is as surefooted as they come. He will cross water, bridges, logs, and anything else you want.

Let hm sit for days, weeks or months, he will be the same when you get back on.
